Using SGIM to implement the Smart Grid
The Smart Grid Interface Module (SGIM) is a comprehensive modular system for the easy and cost-effective implementation of Smart Grid applications.
SGIM by BBC Cellpack Power Systems lets you visualise low-voltage grids in an instant and make adjustments for future requirements.
Simple: The state of the low-voltage grid can be visualised quickly; it’s simple and cost-effective – current data right from the very first day!
Reliable: Regardless of costly infrastructure due to a web-based solution – implemented with proven industrial technology and certified according to the most recent standards, including cyber security.
Convincing: A comprehensive package with low investment and operating costs. A system that adapts to the development of the smart grid and grows with the needs of customer.
Key arguments for SGIM
All-in-one solution with tried and tested hardware, transmission, visualisation and data management can monitor up to 10 low-voltage connections per unit, both 3-phase and 4-phase. Voltage, current, mains frequency, and phase angles are measured as a standard feature. Furthermore, expandable additional functions can be added using various interfaces. The measured data is automatically transferred to a portal server with archiving function and can thus be easily evaluated. Moreover, the SGIM solution is compatible with several well-known network analysis systems and asset management applications. The unit can be easily installed on a 185 mm busbar system or retrofitted without interruption. The investment and operating costs are low and the scalability of the system ensures investment protection.
